I tried using EMC 9 to make a VCD for the first time since purchase.  I get an error 80004005: Error while creating VCD.  Searching the Roxio site indicates the issue is an outdated video driver.  The laptop is a brand new IBM Thinkpad so I hardly believe the video driver is outdated.  All references to this error in the Knowledge Base are for EMC 8, not 9.  Any other suggestions?

Go to IBM's site and see if there is an updated driver for your video card.  Your computer is new to you, but the components used to make it may have been on the shelf for a year.

In another post someone suggested this Microsoft info.  Maybe it has some info that will work for you.

Updated the video driver from IBM website.  No change, still get the same error.

The MicroSoft article refers to error on starting a WinXP system, that does not apply here as the PC boots, starts and otherwise runs fine, except Roxio.  I had no trouble with the earlier version of EMC 5.0 in WinXP I used on an old machine that wouldn't port to the new WinXP system.

Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with Roxio without having to pay for it?  This is the first I've used this version of EMC and Roxio should be able to offer some free support for a while.  I've installed EMC9  on two PC's trying to get it going and there are different errors on each PC.  I'd like some support from Roxio or a refund of the purchase price and I'll buy another CD writing program.
