DVD synchronization

Have trouble getting the audio to match the video.  There is no synchronization when watching a video and seeing the charaters speak hearing them.

I'll assume you have a decent system although you don't post any computer info.  Some things to try that have been suggested and help are to keep the file sizes small or separate larger files into smaller chunks.
Make sure you keep your hard drive defragged and turn off all unneeded background running programs while working with the video.
