Ever since I installed Roxio 8 on my new computor (Dell xps 410) I have had nothing but problems and no help from Roxio. My DVD drives do not recognize media, I fixed that and now my other sound editing programs do not work. My DVD copying program locks up. I can not use sound editor to record from any sound program ( I have a key changing program that I use to change the keys of music CD's for my band and record them to sound editor for mixing) I uninstalled the program and everything works fine except I now have no editing program to work with. Roxios answer was to upgrade to 9. Yea right so I can spend another $39 on top of the $100 I already spent to upgrade. The only reason I got this program was version 6 did not have the capibility to make picture dvd's. I have version 6 on my old computor and it works fine. The old system is xp, my new system is xp media. Any advise?

If by "Picture DVDs" you mean slideshows, V6 does nicely…

It appears that you have one software, that appears to cause conflict in EMC8. I would contact that maker and see if they have a fix for that problem.

If they have a forum you may be able to find out if others have this problem with EMC8 or EMC9 and what they have done to resolve it.
