Okay, so since this thread has been started by that kid anyway, let me re-phrase the question:
Is anyone using one of the newer, 80GB iPods with EMC9?
The reason I'm asking is that whenever I use Disc Copier to copy a chapter from a DVD, the results don't fill the whole screen on my iPod. I get "black bars" on the sides and the picture is visibly squeezed horizontally.
Anybody else getting those results?

Simple fix....in the actual IPOD, go to "video settings" and turn off "widescreen". Bars will go away and video will fill IPOD screen.

Hmmm...
I can't find a "Video Settings" choice on my 80GB iPod. Under the settings menu, there are only the following choices:
About
Main Menu
Shuffle
Repeat
Volume Limit
Backlight Timer
Brightness
Audiobooks
EQ
Compilations
Sound Check
Clicker
Date & Time
Contacts
Language
Legal
Reset All Settings
Are video settings hidden somewhere else?
