Any thoughts on this new out of the box software program being installed on an XP machine. Installed twice after uninstalling via Add/Remove programs and it has this message and even hangs the PC up. Have to use the F8 key on reboot to get system to boot-up/
Is this software worth the pain? Especially for a non techi person?
Thx in advance,

Johng

XP has a habit of losing its' burners when burning software is installed or uninstalled. The real question becomes one of is XP worth the pain?

I don't know what a 'Drag Icon' is but what you need to do is go into Device Manager and expand your CD/DVD Devices. Are any error messages indicated there?

If not, go into Creator Classic and under Tools run the System Tests.

While in Classic, click Help – About and tell us what version number you actually have installed.

If all you want to do is "drag" files to a disc and burn them, WinXP has a built-in program that will do it. It is Sessions-based, rather than Packet-Writing (Packet-Writing is best used to permantly LOSE the data).
