I used to have Easy CD Creator 6. I clicked on any mp3 file in explorer and the Roxio player opened.

I uninstalled 6 - replaced it with Media Creator 9 .......... and MP3 now defaults to Windows Media Player. I know where to change the association - but which exe do I choose in 9 to open instantly and start playing the mp3 ?

I'm not sure you can in 9....never tried it. 9 has Media Experience that will organize and play your music but I've guess you can change the association so that it will open up and play the file for you.
Music Disc Creator and Sound Editor will also play files as will Media Manager.
