When using Music Disc Creator...I'm trying to import off of a CD and it's asking me to save the files to the hard drive.  I do NOT want to do this.  I just want to copy the disc because of the CD-Text option.  I can't figure out how to shut that setting off if there is that option.  Please let me know.  Thanks!

If all you want to do is copy the disc, use Disc Copier. What's the harm of copying to the HD?  You can delete it later.

Do you have 2 drives? If not it will always cache to the hard drive.

I do have 2 drives.  1st is the cd burner, 2nd is the standard cd-rom...and I hate using DiscCopier because I like the Cd-TEXT function

????  Disc Copier makes an exact duplicate of the disc. If the Text is on the CD, then it will be on the duplicate.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

With Music disc creator, copying from a CD, at the end of the process, when you close Music disc creator, it asks whether you want to save the project. If you click don't save, the next box has a checkbox to delete the files imported from the CD as well as delete the temp files created during the process.
