Hello...

In Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum one could use Soundstream to convert WAV files to MP3 files (and utilize various effects) without actually burning to CD. You could take one file and simply create another file.

EMC8 does not appear to offer this option, only allowing the user to convert from a CD to a file or convert a file or files to a CD; no file to file option.

Anyone know if EMC8 has this function ?

Thank you.

You sure can. Use Sound Editor. Open your file, then click File/Export clip as...., pick what you want it saved as, and where you want it saved. Pretty simple.

There is certainly more under the hood of this beast so some aquaintance time is in order. Not as simple as ECDC 5 seemed to be so hopefully it will come together without too much hassle.

After a few minutes of experimenting with Sound Editor there shines some light from the confusion. Sometimes a nudge in the right direction works wonders.

Thanks for the nudge, grandpabruce.

You are welcome. More nudges are needed the older one gets. LOL Sometimes a hammer over the top of my head works quite well. :)
