Emc 8 Conflict

Primera believes that a Roxio file still resides on the system and that it is disabling the robotics on PrimoDVD. Apparently there is a known conflict between Roxio and the PrimoDVD software (wish I had known this before I installed it!).
Has anyone had a similar problem? I am working an IBM Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.66 Ghz, 630 Mb of Ram, Windows 2000, Service Pack 4. Any help is appreciated.

Long ago in the history of personal computers, the second software program was created.
Ever since that moment one blames the other one for all evil that lurks within…
If you really think this is Roxio's problem, call Tech Support and work it through with them.

Obviously not, or it could be that the other two, who were having the problem, were hit and run posters, as they never came back and posted.

PrimoDVD Error - "No external drives found" but the drives do appear in My Computer (BravoPro, II, XR - PC Only)
Reinstall the latest version of Primo. Use the following procedure to reinstall Primo DVD.
a. Go Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Find Primo DVD 2.0 or 2.1 and click Remove.
b. Now delete the "Primo DVD" folder from C:\Program Files
c. Also delete the "PrimoDVD" folder from C:\Program Files\Common Files
d. Browse to C:\WINDOWS\system32 and delete the following 4 files from the System 32 folder:
Px.dll
PxMas.dll
PxSub.dll
PxWave.dll
and
Pxhelp20.sys from the following location C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS
e. Reinstall the latest software from the installation disc or from the files downloaded from our download site.
f. Reboot the PC. (Do NOT reboot until you have reinstalled PrimoDVD)

Not exactly. My Primera conflicts have resulted from upgrades to WinAmp.
PX.dll is one of the Sonic Engine files required for CD Burning to work. Many programs use these DLL files, and different software installs different versions, which causes other programs to fail.
Here is a message thread on the WinAmp forums about WinAmp upgrades and problems with PX.dll.
