I upgraded to IE7 and my ECM7 quit. I went to Roxio web site and it recommended EMC9. So, I bought it, installed it, tried to use VideoWave and my computer locked up. Nothing would work, nothing not even control-alt-delete. So I uninstalled IE7 and went back to IE6. Same problem, lock up bad, power down was only way out. I uninstalled EMC9 and reinstalled EMC& with the IE6 and I back working. But now I have a $99.99 piece of garbage laying around now. Roxanne was no help and "she" has never been thourgh ECM6, 7 and now 9. Roxio web sight really hurts.

Does your computer meet the minimum requirements of the software? Actually, it should far exceed the minimum requirements. List your system specs.

Sorry I didn't stay around to say thankyou. This is the first time for me to post anything and by the time I got every thing figured out I had to leave. So I thank you now (if you read this again). I cannot say that I "far exceed" the minimum requirements but I do exceed all except the RAM, I have the minimum of 512.

When I first installed the program I tried several of the programs. I was able to load and work with a short 4 min. clip, I made a slide show with affects etc, I used the Photo Suite and that was fine. But when I got to the VideoWave what a change. When I would put photos on the story board my computer would lock up every time I tried to add a third photo. I tried several times and powering down with each try. I could put two photos in add color panes anything but when I would try add a third photo, lock up. So twice after rebooting I cliked on the help button while in VideoWave. MY computer hummed for a moment but nothing showed up as a help window. I could get help in other programs but not VideoWave.

I really enjoy putting slide shows on DVD with my own music as backround and the EMC7 is good for that.
So now I can still do what I enjoy.

But having to get help by means of message board like this is not my idea of service. If I bought a shirt from JC Penney and there was a problem either with me or the shirt I would not be told by JC Penney to go out in the parking lot and find a caring customer that could help me.

But I do thank you Bruce.

I have to be some place in a little bit so I can't wait around, thanks again.

Oh my. I do so hate analogies, because they don't hold water. Ok, list your system specs, similar to how I have mine listed in my signature. Maybe we can spot something.

In the meantime, I will be out in the parking lot, waiting. :)

No negative vibe, hence the smily face.
