It used to work ... but now it doesn't!
Spin Doctor either competes the recording but has no data, or perhaps a few seconds of data; or, it crashes.
Advice requested! Thanks

Do you have a Firewire or USB audio controller connected to your Mac? The problem you describe typically is when the audio input device selected in Audio Midi Setup (in your Utilities folder) is different from the audio input selected in Spin Doctor.
