I am guessing that this is due to some variation among the versions. I have the 805B30B ENU and it is available in this version.

Depending on your version there may be no update at this time. The only update is for the 800B85C ENU version and we do not know when there will be updates for the other versions.

In all case, thanks !

I'll install back my version of media creator 7. It's ok to hide the name of the file with this version. It's too bad but I have no choice for the moment.

Thanks again !

It's a waste of time! Sony and BMG's new encryption's are decrypted in a matter of hour's of release.
Don't think your the only one that could access  this data.

It has nothing to do with commercial CDs or DVDs.  This feature is so you can create your own CDs or data DVDs that are encrypted.  A nice feature for business users who deal with sensitive company information.

grombids -

Create your data DVD as you normally would. Drag files from the upper pane to the project window.  That diaglog box you posted is for 'Set the Encryption Settings for YOUR project'.  Don't forget the password because the person you send the disc to will need it.

I think I see what you are point out.  Masquer le nomes de fichier sur disque  seems to be missing and appears you have found a bug in the French version.

'Hide file names on disk' described in the help file does not appear in the encryption settings in UK retail version 801B16A ENU either. So not just French bug.

It's exactly that. The option "hide the name of the files" is missing.

It's just a bug ?? ok ! maybe there will be an uptade in the near future.

I'll wait for it..

thanks again for all...

Point being the MPAA and RIAA have more resources and money to spend on encryption.
You should always be aware that things are never 100% secure. All encryption can, theoretically, be hacked. The purpose of encryption is to make the cost of that hacking so astronomical as to be impractical.
I will state the facts again. They are cracked within days or hours of release.

I don't search an 100% secure encryption. The data are not very important. I just want that it is difficult for a beginner to access on my data. That's all. I want a pasword. And I don't like an archive with password because if the archive is corrupted, all inside is unreadable. On a cd encrypted, if a file is corrupted, the rest is available.

We are never too aware with our data  :)

I work in the security on the network, I know that nothing is 100 % secure in information technology.

But thanks for the information...

The update is online. It's a good job. The check box "hide file name" is now here.

Thanks very much  !
