I guess this would be a multi-part question....
First off, my objective: I'd like to be able to transfer from VCR and my DV camcorder to DVD, and at the same time be able to take DVDs and create interactive menus (which I already found out EMC 9 is capable of), as well as editing, audio dubbing and photo slideshows with music.
I just want to make sure I'm not purchasing two items that can do the same thing, so I guess my questions are- Would that make the Dazzle Video Creator Platinum the hardware needed for the video-to-DVD transfer, while EMC 9 is the software I use to tweak the transfered video? And, are there any issues with compatibilty issues with the two?
Thanks in advance for any info provided!

Sounds like you have teh concept correct. EMC9 includes Vdieowave 9 for editing the captured files (trimming, splitting, transitions, effects, music, narration, overlays, etc.). MyDVD 9 is included for the DVD authoring (creating menus, chapters and submenus, etc.).
Don't know if the Dazzle Platnium is compatible with Media Import 9, but you should be able to capture with the software included with the Dazzle. Then use those captured files within EMC9 apps.

Sounds good- thanks for the reply, the various software functions make more sense to me now. Hopefully there's no compatibility issues- I'll check through these boards to see if I can find something specific to Dazzle hardware.
Thanks again.

Hello which dazzle device AEU using, as I have seen that some versions do not support dazzle. 150 in the past I have been using version 6, which did not. So, I was doing that editing in one called video studio, and I captured using the software that came with the dazzle device, which software came with your dazzle device.
