Burning HD content to DVD

Does anyone out there know: When burning HD source material to DVD (not BluRay), does DVDit fill an entire HD screen like Adobe Encore does, or does it scale it down to an "SD letterbox" like Roxio Creator does?

What you see is what you get.  If you do a widescreen DVD project it should yield a widescreen dvd
