I really hate to sound so uniformed but.. I have been using Roxio EMC 8 for about a year now and still have serious problems from time to time. I'm using a computer that fits all requirements and then some. I have a new and hopefully better computer on the way and would like to see if the problems lighten up when installed on the new computer... My question... because of potential problems uninstalling and reinstalling the software.... is it legal to use the same copy of EMC 8 on two computers at the same time? I hear all kinds of contradicting stories on that deal, but, I have read suggestions to try it in these forums... Thanks..

The EULA states, 'One Software = One PC'. While not legal, I don't think it is a big deal if only one person is using it with 2 PCs. For example, a desktop and a laptop or 2 desktops used by one person.
I don't see anything wrong with leaving it on your old PC until you are sure it is installed, up and running one the new one…
See what is installed with your new PC before doing anything. In fact, you want to inventory your new PC to make sure you have the CDs to reinstall the included software, should that be necessary at some later time.
I would remove any included burning software before installing. It may cause a conflict but removing it will assure it does not.
