Can someone help regarding the AAC audio codec inside emc 9?

I see two files:
\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\9.0\SharedCOM\RxACAAC3.dll
\Program Files\Common Files\Sonic Shared\SonicMC01\sonicaacdec.ax

I assume the second file is a decoder, what is the first file, the dll? AAC encoder? Is this developed from someone else other than Sonic? Whose AAC encoder are we using? In house developed by roxio? I dont think that is the case... is it?

Please help

Accrding to its properties/version tab/product name it is Roxio Audio Codec component.  GSpot does not list it explicitly. Maybe it is a dll that is called on during encoding or decoding process.
