Anyone tried the two together?  WHen I try to intall it on Vista RC2, I get told that the Product Key is invalid, it will however install on a XP system.  I find it interesting that the software says it will work in Vista, but Roxio support says not in RC2...   MS just released to manufactures the final code of Vista about 3 weeks ago...   How can they know it will work in Vista, but not RC2?   Curious if anyone has tried this yet.

if you read this forum, you would know the EMC 9 did not work with IE7 before it is final and it was an IE issue which was fixed by MS. Why would any software company to fix their software to work on a non-finalized OS since changes still might be made in the final version... there is no guarantee that a product working on Vista RC2 would work on Vista final. why make the change twice... besides, RC2 would expire soon anyway...

Gaper is right.  We plan on working with the final version.  We are working with microsoft to make sure it happens.  The RC version is a chance for us to work on any outstanding isssues we need to work on for the final release.

Fair enough, all I am saying is EMC 9 has been out for a period of time now, and it says that it will work with Vista...   I just don't understand how they can know that when it doesn't work with the current releases out there.  If you "plan" on working with the final version, how can the product already support it?  Maybe I'm just cynical, but it doesn't seem to fit with me.

Vista IS NOT out now?  Not to the general public and only to OEM's and those of us who tested and were given a copy.  Business customers  will get the chance to purchase that version this month.

But that's my point. It's been stated many times on this forum that Roxio is committed to being fully compatible with Vista when it's released in January. I would like to try it out on my Vista system but until they say it's ready I will patiently wait.
I think discussing this further is moot anyway.
