Hi, is there a way to put PC data on a DVD video with EMC 8? What I'm trying to do is make a movie from a slideshow and a video recording AND include files on the DVD that are viewable in a computer ... like a power point presentation and the pictures used to make the slideshow.

Is this possible?

A data or multisession dvd should work. If they fit in sze and would only be viewable on a pc. If you have a blank unformated dvdrw try and see. If not - + R are only $0.30 now! I have put slide show's, mpeg's, data, and mp3's on dvd - + R data projects as backup with no problem.

I'm in the middle of trying the same thing myself and seem to have found a way that just takes some time. I make up my DVD for the TV and burn it to a DVD-RW and test it. I then copy the files from the RW to a empty folder on my hard drive. I then use the multimedia thing and add the files from the hard drive PLUS all the computer files I want including even and autostart for DVD_ROM. I burn it to a DVD-R and it asks it I want it made into a playable DVD - I said yes.
The result is a DVD disk that inserted in a TV player plays as it should. Inserted in a DVD-ROM it starts up as one of those.
Caution, I have only done one of these so far so I am hoping I don't discover some downside.

Sinecure99: You left out some info on your procedure! What programs are you using???

Not familiar with "the multimedia thing"?

Likewise, what program are you burning with?

You procedure sounds good and I do not expect any downside to show up. If you were confident in you DVD Movie, you could skip a step by letting MyDVD burn to Folder. Of you could let it Burn to disc and folder so you would only have to erase the RW later.

Yes, I too would to know what "that multimedia thing" is.

A lot of smart people on this thread. If I can interrupt, before you burn a disc, go to file/project properties. A window will open where you can select to archive the images. (Picture below.) Check box on left just below standard selection. This doesn't work if you have a rendered file.

If you have some documentation that you want to put on the disc but do not people to see it unless they know it is there, create a slide show of the documents and add it to the DVD menu. minimize the size of the thumbnail and drag it to outside the TV safe zone. If the DVD is played on the TV it won't show, on a monitor, it will jsut be a small dot. If you explore the disc, you will be able to open the files that created that show.

I did notice the archive option. Haven't tried it yet to see what it does. I have a power point presentation I'd like to include on the DVD as well, but I don't think the slideshow option will let me use it.
