I'm running Easy Media Creator 9. I also have ZoneAlarm firewall installed.

Shortly after I start Easy Media Creator I start getting popups from my software cause EMC attempts an internet connection to home base (sonic.com). I deny the connection and it just keeps retrying. If there's anything worse than unauthorized internet connections, it's repeated unauthorized internet connections.

And even when I stop running the application the attempts continue cause EMC leaves a process running that continue these attempts. This is total crap. I'm taking this software back.

I used to use EasyCD creator all the time before. The last few years I've been using Nero. It started to develop a few unwanted features so I took a chance on EMC. Well EMC is even worse. It's way to hard to use now. It's time to take the name Easy out of it's name.

I prefer NOT to deny all future internet connect attempts. I want to know what's happening on my pc. If I deny attempts, sure it will stop my firewall popups but I'll soon loose sight of the fact this application is attempting to connect to the internet every couple of minutes.

The fact remains that it is wrong to repeatly make these connections!

Has your EMC9 validated the mpeg2 yet?  Registered the software?  Registered Cineplayer?
