Version 7.1.2 software download will not work for me.  It downloads as a zip file, but when I try to expand it, I get an saying the archive is corrupt.  I've downloaded several times with the same result.  Also I tied changing it  to a .dmg file with no results

I just tested the download and it works fine.  What browser are you using?  Test with Safari and have safari set to automatically decompress downloads.

is this version an upgrade or update? coz i've downloaded it and when i enter my cd key, i can't continue? what happened?

Me too - I have given up trying to upgrade - it won't accept my keycode thingy.

To be honest, any CD-Key we found on the web got blacklisted with this update.  If you contact support and provide proof of purchase they can issue you a new one.
