Thought I would start a wishlist thread. Not aimed at saying how inadequate this software is- not at all, it's great imo but always room for improvement and I'd like to put my 2 cents in. (that's australian currency  )

My number 1 wish is DTS file support.
My number 2 wish is DTS file support :D

OK, OK please add to this list.  :)

edit: I had intended this to go in DVDit PRO HD forum- my bad btu I guess it applies here too, perhaps move it over mr admin?

A way of easily deleting (purging) unused Media or stills etc from a project.
I found that when creating Slideshows I ended up with three or four versions of the same still in the Images Folder, but was unable to delete the duplicates unless I cleared the stills from any menus they were used in.

It would be good if the Title Tab in the Preview Window could show large previews of pictures in the Images Pallette. Would help with identifying images.

Here's a little thing I would really like to see changed.
- I would like to have the "option" to "disable" all of the templates and images from loading evertime I open the program. It takes about 15 seconds to load them all and I never use  them.

Have you checked under File - Preferences, then on the General tab yet? There should be a check box option that you can "un-check" for loading sample media on startup.

Who in their right mind would check that before making a fool of themselves, heh?  :)

50Gb disc support
Errors in English so both the user and the staff on this forum know what the problem is
for it to work problems out and not give error messages every hour
for it not to take an hour to do something and lock up your PC while doing it (like moving the scrubber on the timeline)
for it to work is a big one for me
for the discs it makes to be compatible in every BD player (I know this isn't Roxio's fault, it's the manufacturers,  but it's sooooo annoying)
for it to work

-  end of file issue
-  remove that crazy activition process
-  maybe a few patches to fix some obvious issues (would be nice)
-  "beat up" the manufactorers about their firmware support (OK, just a wish)

mike, sent you an email to see if we can solve your issues.  Sorry you are so disgruntled.  Hope to get you up and running quickly so you can see like many others on this list that the software does work.  Good success from fellow Australian shueardm...who has made numerous Blu-ray discs with no problems.

Many thanks to Scott, the program now works fine.

To all others - get Scott to sort the problem out - done by sending a file to him and he returning it to you fixed. As easy as that!!

My gruntelness is now fixed too!!

To shueardm - would have had an extra beer for you last night (Australia Day), but as the temperature in Perth is still sitting at over 40c (yuk!) will have one for you tonight mate!!

Scott - sincere thanks again.

Mike

I would like to be able to import transport stream files that can then be used without having to be transcoded or remuxed at burn/iso creation time.

That wont happen because they aren't Blu Ray legal files. Not Roxio's fault the Blu Ray association didn't think HDV transport streams were good enough. smile.gif

a new one I just realised I want while creating a disc!

I want to be able to do pop-up menu's, I know the gfx are stored on a different layer to the video so can it really be THAT hard to do?

I also still have the problem of it taking ages to select an HD video file and it also takes ages to select a point on the scrub bar when adding chapter points (when I say ages I mean close to 10 minutes and nothing else can be used on the PC, this is now 2 different PC's, 2 versions of the install and 2 operating systems and different video files so it's not me!)

I was enjoying this debate till u brought cricket up! (joking)

I would like 2 be able to edit the native photoshop file that is actually in laymans terms "the button"  Other software Ive encountered one can edit or draw new buttons in photoshop by keeping the colors exactly the same for those areas of the button that either key (create a alpha or transparant area) imported video footage inside the button, or key the unwanted areas outside the button. There is more info (if u dont get it 1st time round)  in the general discussion area under 'create your own buttons?'
