I have some TS_Video folders I wanted to burn to DVD. I discovered that when using the Video-DVD from Video_TS option, I can't name the disc. This seems assinine that you can't name the disc, so I searched the forum for some insight. I found a post that covers this topic (http://forums.suppor...&hl=rename+disc)
and this is the advice given:

Quote

In the Finder, create a new folder somewhere where there is enough free space, and name the folder "xxx2006". Copy the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders from your DVD to this folder.
In Toast, in the Data tab, set format to DVD-ROM (UDF). Drag your "xxx2006" folder to the main window. You'll see the folder name as the disc name. (Delete any unwanted Mac OS-specific files, such as .DS_Store, from the list view.) Burn.

I tried this with three different folders, and every time I got a message saying the media format is not supported. I don't get it-why am I able to burn the folders just fine using Video-DVD from Video_TS, but not the DVD-ROM setting in the Data tab?

I appreciate your help. I just got a DVD burner about two weeks ago, so this is new to me.

Here's how I'd do it. Choose DVD Rom as the format in the Data window. Click New Disc and name the disc. Add the VIDEO_TS folder only. Click the burn button (or choose Save as Disc Image). Toast automatically adds the AUDIO_TS folder and automatically removes any DS_store files. There is no need to put your VIDEO_TS folder in some other folder.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Actually, that's what I did-I saw no reason for the extra folder. Burned fine as DVD from TS_Video, but not as DVD-ROM. Tonight I'll search this forum for media format not supported, and see if there's any help, but now I have to run.

Follow my steps exactly. Your first post doesn't sound the same.

Today I updated to 7.1.2 and then tried burning, and it worked perfect.
I called Roxio, and was told that the update corrected some problems with the previous version.
I searched the forum here for related posts, but didn't find any. Seems I'm the only one who encountered this bug and posted about it.

Thanks tsantee for trying to help. :)
