O.K., So I've been running EMC 8 just fine. I'm trying to secretly convert all my hubbys CD's into Mpegs for him, so I can buy him an 80 gb ipod thingy (he has lots of cd's, and lps etc) I also wanted to do some video/picture stuff and found the emc 8 a little hard to use, so i thought I'd buy the latest/greatest.

My problem is this: I'm used to running a new program and having it uninstall it's older self. This didn't happen. Now I have 8 and 9 on my computer and only 8 is working (9 can't identify a CD Album).

I have no technical know-how and need to find out how to uninstall 8. Do I need to uninstall 9 as well and re-load it?

help! (and THANks!!)

You should have no problem using the standard control panel add/remove programs to remove EMC8. 9 did remove a few things on it's own so that there would be no conflicts with running both versions together.

Thanks can I also ask for an amber?
Your first post mentions that 9 couldn't identify a CD and now you mention it doesn't convert cd's. After you've removed 8 and rebooted, try again and then post back with more specifics of exactly what is happening.
