Hi,

I am trying to burn theDVD using the MyDVD software (Received along with my Canon DVD camcorder).
I had captured a video recording using Windows movie maker and the captured video is in WMV movie format.
I used the MyDVD software and added the WMV file and tried to burn to the disc.

The software transcoded the video, transcoded the audio and started writing to the disc. It wrote for about 2 to 3 minutes (10 to 15 square boxes in the progress bar) and then it said cancelling and ejected the disc and
printed the following error:

unknown error 2131042560 -4

I have talked to the LITE-ON folks and they say my firmware is upto date. I also upgraded the Roxio software (both utiliy and engine patch), enabled DMA on my Windows XP machine. What else could go wrong? I have wasted about 4 DVD-R Maxell discs and i keep getting this error.

Any suggestions or help would be really appreciated.

thanks
mohan

Hi,

I checked Canon Web site and it says MyDVD software is supported by Sonic Solutions in North America.
