That's it.  I can't find one source or thread that states this software is good.  Everything is reinstall this or unistall that.  I have Creator 6 and have had creator 5.  I'm keeping 6 going till this forum changes its tune about this software.  My software is a gift under the Christmas tree, I'm taking it back for a refund, unopened.  Does anybody have anything to tell me to stop me?  Can anybody tell me somthing good? :)

And you won't HERE. We hardly ever get someone that isn't having a problem.  The precentage of users having problems is really rather low. I've installed EMC9 on several machines for friends and relatives and not a single one has had a problem.

Count me in as another user who has things working well on a few machines.  As Gary says, this is the place you're supposed to come to for help.

Thanks Beerman,

I did come for help and got it, thanks to gi7omy.  Making sure my video driver is up to date and the drag to disc is turned off should twart problems of my install.

One question, if I may before I attempt the install.

Is it prefered to un-install ecdc 6 before the new EMC9 install?

You folks have the knowledge, it would be great not have to use this forum.

respectfully

Some people like parts of 6 that are no longer in 9 but either way, you can't have Drag to Disc installed from both versions or you'll definitely have problems.  My opinion is to remove it completely before installing 9.  If later, you want some part of 6 installed, you can selectively install it with no problems.
It's video portion is soooooooo much more advanced and useful.  MyDVD and Videowave are full of things you've never done but when you see what can be done, you'll love it.

The only conflict would be having both versions of Drag to Disc, but the EMC9 install should ask you to remove the older one.  Personally, I don't use that feature and have never installed it.  With EMC9, it is listed separately in Add/Remove Apps so can be easily removed later if you don't want that feature.
