Hi,

I'm running Creator Classic 6.1.1.7. I'm trying to create an image of a CD, but the "Create Disc Image" option is greyed out.

I select the CD, then I grab all its files and put them in the project window. Next I click File, but that's as far as I can get. The same thing happens if I try to create an image with files from the hard drive.

Any suggestions? I'm stuck at the moment.

If your Roxio program came free with your computer or cd burner you have a OEM version. Some OEM programs do not contain ALL the functions that are available in the retail Platinum version.

I bought it separately, although I can't remember where I got it - newegg, maybe? Anyways, Help -> About says it's Roxio Creator Classic Version 6.1.1.7, and doesn't say anything about it being OEM.

The 6.1.1.7 is Basic. There is an update for it to 6.1.1.48 (4/04) but I do not know if that will offer any increased functionality.

If you have XP or W2K you might want to shop around for V7 Platinum. It is out of production so some good buys can be found if you look.

V8 is the current version but unless you need the latest and greatest, V7 would do nicely.
