MyDVD 6x. When I attempt to add (previously burned to disc) VOB files, I get the error: Stream type is invalid -19801. But I can copy those SAME files to another computer (older version of MyDVD) and it imports and burns a DVD perfectly. Assuming my new machine is missing something, but not sure what I'm looking for. Any help is appreciated.

Strictly speaking, those VOB files are copyright protected and you shouldn't be moving them off of the disc and trying to use them as MPEG2 files, even though they're your files, it's a format detail. What this means is that since you're not supposed to be able to do it, the fact that it doesn't work is almost an indication that everything is working. You shouldn't be able to import VOB files into MyDVD.

You can edit the disc if it was burned with MyDVD and it will then import the video. This is why MyDVD has included the OpenDVD functionality so that you can edit existing DVD discs.

The VOBs are MY OWN files .. that I've burned from another video editing program (NOT from a CD). I think I've discovered that the reason they won't import is because I have the LE version (which I'd completely forgotten :-). What I did is load an older version of MyDVD .. and everything works great now. I can import my files .. then make multiple copies, which was the whole point. Thanks for the reply, Kevin .. and sorry for my slow response. I've been out of town.
