Just got a LaCie d2 DVD+-RW firewire 16x8x16x 8.5GB drive. Toast 7 was included.

I have tried twice to copy a double layer DVD, but everytime when the process gets to the last step in confirming the write, an error msg is posted and the process ends with a DVD that won't operate.

I first tried to copy from a LaCie DVD-RW/+RW firewire drive, but the process wouldn't even start.

Instead of reading and writing from the DVD, should I make a disk image?

Thanx.

Yes, that might help. You could even test the disk image by mounting it and launching Apple DVD Player.
