Hello,
Can anyone diagnose this error message: "authorization trampoline could not be accessed data fork -5000" that occurs when I try to burn a backup of my OS 10.2.8 system folder? No dialogue box appears asking for an Admin password.

My guess is there is a damaged file called authorization trampoline in your System folder. It might take some searching to find it, as it also could be an invisible file. I've never heard of such a file. If you can't find it using Find, then use Toast's Save as Disc Image option to narrow down where it is located. For example, Add half of the folders in your System folder and choose Save as Disc Image. If that goes well then it is likely the bad file is in the other half. Trash the disc images because you're just trying to find the file and don't need those partial backups.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
