Where are the program defaults such as cache locations? Getting a handle on proper Creator setup

I noticed that there was a large amount of disk images located in my C:\ drive, and soon it became obvious that Creator9 was creating new directories for each image it was creating whenever I ripped CDs or copied DVDs. After deleting about 100G, I looked around for the location within Creator's modules that govern this behavior, but I can't find it.

I've tried the "usual suspects"-- the help file is (as I'm afraid often the case) almost useless. The most logical location would be "Tools/Options" and the same configuration utility comes up for a number of modules. I've looked at every part of this utility but I can't find anything that controls the cache location or behavior. I've also loaded and looked at most modules. The only one that has a different configuration utility (that I've found so far) is "Creator Classic". That has the sort of thing I expect--a box into which one can list the cache location along with a "browse" button that allows you to select a different location. But that's not what's causing my problem as that is set to the "temp" directory at "documents and settings\local settings\user\temp\" which is what most people would probably expect while the programs I'm using (eg "DVD Copier") is putting the files elsewhere.

Thanks for any suggestions.

For most of the apps in EMC9, they each have their own temp folder. You are correct that it is located in Tools/Options. Videowave/MyDVD use the same locations. Also check all of the audio applications. I don't the HOME application, but most likely also has it's own temp folder.

You can also change the Windows temp variables if you're running really low on space.

Thanks, Gary. I did indeed find what I was looking for in tools/options on "disk copier". Part of the challenge with this package is figuring out which module you are really in. I kept trying the "tools/options" screens for the wrong program(s) because I didn't realise that selecting "copy DVD movies" took you to "disk copier" as opposed to other modules.

I wish Sonic would integrate the modules a little more efficiently. It is probably good to allow users to configure different modules in different was, but there should be some sort of centralized place for all the configurations.

There remains a question as to why Creator opened multiple directories af the location specified in options and saved images in each one--nearly filling my drive--but it's not doing it now so whatever caused that seems to be gone now.

Appreciate the speedy reply. :-)
