I am looking for software that will allow drag and drop capabilities for my DVD-RW and CD-RW. Does Roxio /toast etc have such a feature? I am not talking about burning onto a disc, then wiping it, and reburning. Rather, much like on a PC, you can use a DVD-RW or a CD-RW like a harddrive - you can drag files onto it, and wipe it, except it is on a rewritable.

Does Roxio offer such a feature? If so, which package component is it that allows for this? If not, any recommendations on where to find such software ?
Thanks

ML

PS Of course, I am referring to Mac OS X (G5 and Macbook)

Toast doesn't do that. I don't know of any Mac software that does. You might consider using a USB 2 flash drive instead. When it gets full, back it up to disc and start over. Another option is to create a CD or DVD-sized temporary partition on an external drive (using either Toast or Disk Utility) on an separate hard drive. You can add and remove files, and when it gets full burn it to optical disc.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Or you can use a DVD-RAM. Then you don't need Toast. Just use the DiskUtil to format it. Then you can use it as a "disk".

But only 3rd party drives are supporting DVD-RAM. The Apple ones don't.
