I just received a new computor with MyDVD8 installed along with Microsofts MediaCenter. It worked well untill I had a movie file too big for a DVD. On the drop down menue I selected compress file which said I needed to upgrade. It led me to a download and I completed the download, after I paid of coarse. I now have the preimer addition. Does anyone know how to compress a file as there is no tab I can see? Help

Actually you don't want to let MyDVD compress it… It does so in chunks not really allowing any 'just enough to fit' settings.
What you want to do is Burn to file (ISO) then use Disc Copier to burn that ISO file to disc. It has a better compression engine and will compress just enough to make it fit.
If by chance you don't have Disc Copier included, you can reach the settings in MyDVD through File – Project Settings.
