I have ecs8 on a Windows 2000 machine. ECS 8 was working fine a few weeks ago. Now when I attempt almost any application that requires accessing my sound card, I get an error....something like "analogrec.exe has generated errors and will close".  I have the 805B30B update. Other apps in the suite, those that do not require a sound card, seem to work fine.

Has anyone reported this problem after applying the newest patch?

Thanks

I did a search (top right on this page) on analogrec.exe and found this  http://forums.suppor.....nalogrec\.exe

see if anything in there helps you.

I did a search on my machine for analogrec.exe and I don't have that file.I'm wondering if maybe it is a file from your sound cards software.Have you updated your card lately?
Do a search of your hard drive and see where that file is.If it's in a folder that has to do with your sound card then try reinstalling that software.

Terry - in EMC9 it's actually 'analogrec9.exe' and is in the \Program Files\Roxio\Audio Capture 9, so a search for analogrec8.exe may find it (or just search for 'analogrec*.*') but check in Audio Capture 8

Why it won't work on the OP's machine - I haven't a clue

Same on EMC9 Trial ( AnalogRec9.exe ) It works because yesterday I used music disc creator to import the audio from a DVD.

The op could try a repair with the installation disc.

Correct you are Daithi.I should have been a little more liberal with my search criteria.I used the exact file name they posted.
