Is there any way to adjust the bit rate setting when transferring tracks from cd spin doctor to itunes in mp3 format? I would like to knock the final file size down further when stored in itunes.

Thanks

Have you tried changing the MP3 preset in iTunes? I'm not sure but I think iTunes does the MP3 encoding and not Spin Doctor.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Thanks for the suggestion, however it appears that cd spin doctor is overriding/bypassing itunes' settings as they would imply a lower bit rate than the resulting tracks after completing my work in spin doctor.

It seems then that the best way is to transfer to iTunes as Apple Lossless and then use iTunes to convert those to MP3 using iTunes bit rate settings.

Now that sounds like it would be worth a shot – I haven't played around much with iTunes so was not familiar with this possibility. Thanks!

(Nice Healey photo by the way.)
