:) I have tried both a downloaded file and the backup disk for EMC9.  After is unpacks files, it says disk is corrupt.   Any ideas of what solution is?

Try extracting the download file to a temp folder (use winzip or winrar - it's a self-extract archive) and run setup from there

If it fails to extract, then you may have to download again (the file is corrupt or incomplete)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Another thing to look at might be leftover install files. If you used the Downloaded file first and it was corrupted and then tried the CD there may have been files left over that were bad and causing the problem.
This may be a guess from left field but try looking at your drive for Roxio folders and delete anything you find (that is if this is the only Roxio product you have) before trying the install again from the cd or a folder as was suggested.
