I had v8 and then i loaded v9 from disk it had that Mpeg-2 "bad installation" error

i then dug around here and did a 'clean install' as a 'fix'

now it doesnt recognise the product key when i try to reinstall

any ideas why?

and why did they design the install disks to ask for the key after 10 minutes of processing and not before like every other sofware

it could save much frustration

The key is asked for right away.  If not, something is not right.

the patch worked fine

although it still waited until processing was done (approx 10 minutes) before asking for the key

thanks to all for your help
