I purchased and downloaded Easy Media Creator 9 Suite and each time I open it I receive the following message.

"ERROR 1706, no valid source could be found for Product DAO. The windows installation cannot continue"

Now when I open some of my other programs (not related to Roxio 9) they also start searching for DOA. If I remove Roxio Easy Media Creator 9,  the other programs (mentioned above) do not search for DOA so it must be related to Roxio 9 only.

I admit that I do not know what file DOA is, what its function is and why Roxio 9 can not locate it on my machine and why it is not included in the Roxio 9 download. I also purchased a backup CD which I have tried and it also searches for the DOA file.

Any suggestions in resolving the DOA problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Happy New Year,
Hersul

Look in the control panel under Add/Remove programs for a listing for DAO and if there, uninstall it.  DAO is installed with some ATI utilities and Office products.
