I have a Sony HC3 Hi-def camcorder that outputs m2t files, if I edit my files in premiere, to keep them the same quality I keep them as m2t.
DVDit Pro HD doesn't recognise m2t files (to convert it itself to blu-ray legal)
anyone know the best way to get my m2t files into DVDit Pro HD without losing quality by encoding too many times?
btw, thanks to SS Scott for the PMs and help, I'm now a proud owner of DVDit

Should be able to add transport files, not sure if it will "re-encode" them or not though...

so does premiere let you export elementary streams after you edit your HDV? can you output an m2v or mpeg file from that timeline?

Premiere can output to most MPEG2 formats (transport & program files)

I guess the real question I am asking is can Premiere output elementary streams without transcoding the HDV you have just edited? If so, you could then try to import those elementary streams into DVDit Pro HD and see if they are legal.

Google and download StreamClip.
With this you demux to m2v and WAV or aiff then DVDit will use it, think it still has to encode later thgough (can't quite remember)
