I am a real tech novice but trying to upgrade myself.

I purchased a canon DC 22 and took all this footage which I cant wait to make into movies etc. However, when using the Roxio program (that came with the camera), it takes a long time to transfer the footage from the camera to the Roxio program.

the program appears to be stuck at "building preview display" - for over 40 mins. This is in addition to the long time it took to upload the footage in the first place.

What I want to know is how long should this whole process take to transfer footage to the Roxio program.
