What kind of DVD? Is it a video DVD or data DVD?
What kind of media? I don't think OS 9 can recognize DVD+R media.
What settings did you use in Toast?

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
