Hello all,
I am experiencing a problem with Roxio 9 Home edition.
Any data I wish to burn, be it Data, music, whatever... the program rejects the new blank disks I've inserted. I've tried DVD -/+ discs, CD-R, CR-RW, etc. The program usually will reject the disc 2 or three times and then will eventually accept it. Let me emphesis this.. the program eventually will accept any disc.
It can be a new disc, an old disc, nothing much impacts the outcome but the system ejects the disc a few times before it finally accepts it. The message says the disc is not blank whichis an oxy-moron since, it shouldn't matter if the disc is blank for a re-writable drive.
Anyone seen this before? Does it sound like hardware or software?
Thank you!
Michael.

You might try updating the firmware on your drive first off.Looks like it might be a problem of communication between the drive and the software.Lots of times a firmware update will solve this kind of thing.

Hi folks,
Thank you for taking some time. The system is a Dell Optiplex GX620 and the The drives' firmware was recently updated to the latest.
As was the Roxio software upgraded as troubleshooting techniques.
The system has an HL-DT-ST GWA4164B drive which only hours ago I found out from a google search that the drive is riddled with burning issues.
I may just try swapping the drive physically.
Thanks again for your help.
Best Regards,
Michael

I had the same issue - for me, when I disabled drag-to-disc for the drive, the problem went away.
