Tivo 2 is enabled to transfer files, linksys wireless connection to the house net.
Tivo generally works fine on the net.
No DVR's are displayed in the TivoTransfer application which otherwise seems to function.
Running on a MacBook Pro with 2GB ram
Help!

Solution:
Go to System Preferences - Sharing
Make sure computer name is correct.
Go to Internet.
Your internet ethernet port should be turned on (checked) to allow sharing.
You will see a warning dialogue box which must be ignored.
Your DVR will show up immediately in TiVo Transfer. ( If all else is correct.)

Well i tried that and now my tivo shows up in the dvr section......so maybe that can work for someone else as well.....Thats about all i can get for now.....is too make the dvr show up....but i am having the problems everyone else is having besides the other problems.....
Dammmm is nothing associated with tivo meant to be problem free setup.....it just seems like everything that i try to do with this dam tivo is like a !@#%in hassel.....But as much as i like to complain right now i do know once the problems are fixed it will be worth it......I just hate all this bs...I spent good money for a product and why can't it for once work without me having to research or wish i was born chinese to get it working....no offense to anyone who is asian.....

I don't use tivo decode mgr but i downloaded it and ran it just to make sure my mac could communicate with my tivo and it worked perfectly.....I even downloaded a widget just to see if i could get my tivo to comminicate with the mac and it did....
So this gotta be some kind of bug or something they need to patch or release an update for because there seems to be problems all across the board.....Either you can get the software to work and it is giving you somekind of problem or you can't even get it to work and that is the problem.....

So I've run out of things to try, and also have come to the conclusion that there needs to be an update to this software to get it to function properly. I intend to contest the charge for this software with my credit card company.

I'm an idiot. My company makes me use secure client to log into the network via VPN. As soon as I disabled it, IT WORKED. That VPN is bad cuz you forget how much stuff it actually wrecks. Hope this helps someone else!

I have a iMac, wireless DLink network and 2 series 2 Tivos. When I initially installed Toast 8 I chose an external Firewire drive for the destination for Tivo files then entered the MAK and my DVRs do not show up. I reset the Tivo file destination to the Toast standard (upon a suggestion here), I've re-entered the MAK, cycled power to Tivos/computers/routers, changed internet sharing/personal web sharing services and re-installed Toast8 to no avail. My DVRs do not show up. I am able to use Tivo Decode manager as well as surf the Tivos using the Https://ip address function.
I'll watch this board to see if any other suggestions come in.

Sorry, Keith. Toast specifically says that Direct TV is not supported. I think that's at TiVo's request, because they don't support it from their end, either.
