They're shipping now?  Didn't know they was any other version of EMC9  out there but I guess I should have assumed there'd a been an OEM version made.  Does it say what it includes?

My guess is that it'll be shortly before the Vista release date but what the heck do I know?

Wow... you guys are quick  :)  No, they don't ship yet, they just appeared on the Dutch HP website in their product list in the middle of the "Old" (current) XP machines....

http://h10010.www1.h...7161-39925.html

Click on the "HP Pavilion Media Center m7700 pc serie" and you'll see it's got Vista Premium pre-installed and Creator 9 Basic (see for instance http://h10010.www1.h...8-78125385.html, scroll down to the software section). I know... it's in Dutch   but that's not too difficult I guess.

They'll probably be shipping by months end.

Martin

Edit: I assumed it was 9, but it just says "Roxio Creator Basic".

Good information Martin. :) Thanks for getting on the forum with the group and showing the links to the HP computers. Not good at all reading the language but just knowing about computers, it's pretty easy to see the makeup of each computer. BTW, how do you like EMC 9, and what programs do you like the best ?
I assume you are using it based on your post.

Hey Frank,

Yep, the HP site is quite easy to read I guess, since we take over a lot of English words especially in ICT  :D I got EMC9 installed for a while now as I bought it quite early, since it was stated to support Vista Beta (yes John, it did  :D ). Appearently the Roxio sales guys were a bit over enthousiastic, so I'm actually waiting now for the EMC Vista update to really start using it again. I partly reverted back to Nero 7 (not much less of an headache BTW   ), but still have EMC9 installed and use it every once in a while.
My honest opinion about EMC9? Apart from the new functionality (which is always nice and worth to pay for), it's the 8.1 bugfix release with a new theme/skin, which every EMC8 customer should have been entitled to have gotten for free. EMC9 acts much more stable on my Vista installation (even as it is now) than EMC8 ever did on my XP installation, so I'm quite happy with it.
I've had discussions on this board before about the Vista support confusion, but was a bit disappointed by the Roxio attitude, so I decided to take a break from it.

Cheers!

M.
