My Pioneer Juke does not like about half of the discs I make with Toast 7.  Press Play, it cycles and then goes to Stop.  My Sony Juke plays them just fine.

The Pioneer had been the better reader to this point.  Odd.

Any ideas?  G4 (1.8Gz Sonnet upgrade), 10.3.9, Toast 7.0.2.

I suggest testing with a different brand of good-quality media. Also, if you are using DVD+R you might try DVD-R instead. If the discs used to work fine in the Pioneer then I suggest getting a laser lens cleaning disc.

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Me Too. I have a Pioneer Elite DV-37 and it does the same thing. I've tried memorex and maxell DVD-R discs. my recorder will only burn DVD-R so I cannot try DVD+R discs. The discs play okay in my Mac.
Any suggestions?
Cheers
