I have just found out (the hard way) that norton ghost v10 will not restore a backup to my computer because it has issues with the nvidia chipset. I am thinking of buying Roxio backup my pc deluxe 2006, will this work ok with this chipset. My mother board is an asus A8N32-SLI and my graphics cards are 2 x MSI 7900 gto 512mb. both the motherboard and the graphics cards have nvidia chipsets. any help would be much appreciated.

If you are talking about BackUp MyPC, it works totally different than Ghost. BUMP is not a disc imaging app and only works within Windows. BUMP works by compressing files and storing them on CD, DVD or external hard drive.

I have the same motherboard as you have and use Norton Ghost v8 with no problems at all. I still use a floppy disk though. I actually don't even have Ghost 8 on my computer. It isn't needed once the boot floppy is made.
I do have Norton SysemWorks Premier 2005 on my computer, but I haven't tried this version of Ghost, which is v9, I believe.
Life is good!

I have Ghost V9 which works just fine with all my nVidia cards so it must just be a problem with V10.
As Gary said BUMP is a totally different animal than Ghost,it won't do the same thing.

Don't know if this helps but I got it from the Symantec support site for Ghost 10.
Error: "STOP 0x0000009C MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION" in Norton Save & Restore or Norton Ghost 10.0
You use Norton Save & Restore or Norton Ghost 10.0. When you use the Symantec Recovery disk to start the computer, you see a blue screen and the following error message:
STOP 0x0000009C MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION
This problem is related to the NVIDIA chipset. To receive an updated .iso file, send the following information to Symantec:
