Solution:  
Go to System Preferences - Sharing
Make sure computer name is correct.
Go to Internet.
Your internet ethernet port should be turned on (checked) to allow sharing.
You will see a warning dialogue box which must be ignored.
Your DVR will show up immediately in TiVo Transfer.
This fix should be included in Roxio and TiVo support.
