I received versions of Sonic RecordNow and MyDVD with my Dell PC a few years back. I have version 6.5 of Record Now and 5.0 of MyDVD.
Anyway when I try to update through the programme's "Check for Updates" bit the initial "Connecting to Sonic Update Server" box comes on as it should, but then a new box comes up with "The program was unable to connect to the update server. Please check your network connection."
Well my broadband connection is fine, and I've checked to the best of my knowledge that my firewall (Zonealarm) isn't blocking anything, so what I was wondering is if anyone out there may be able to offer me some guidance?
Thanks in advance

You might want to check with Dell about his. OEM software that's dated may no longer be able to be updated. Their forum is a good place to start or just call tech support.
Good point Beerman, I'll endeavour to contact Dell.
Thanks
