Using DVD+R Dual Layer discs which state 8.5GB on the disc.
How come when when I come to burn, Disc Copier reads the disc and states there is only 8GB free space. :)

The difference between Hex math and Decimal math. Just as your "4.7gb" discs only hold 4.3gb.

Gets even funnier because Double Layer and Dual Layer hold different amounts.

Actually - it's Binary - not Hex (2^10 = 1024)

There are only 10 types of people in the world - those that understand binary and those who don't :)
