I had toast 7.1.2 installed and then installed toast 8 with toastit, mountit, bluray, dejavu, and tivo to go. Toast 8 would crash on startup every time. I then did a search for all the components of Toast and trashed them. All prefs, pref panes, everything. Restarted and relaunched Toast 8. Of course, it asked what I wanted to re-install. This time I chose Toastit, Mountit, and BluRay. It still crashes on startup! I get the message about it unexpectedly quitting. I know that I have APE and the Exsellerate (sp?) engine installed but I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not. I looked at the crash report, but that stuff is like Greek to me.
Toast 7 still works perfect.
Any help is appreciated.

It could be APE causing the problem. Also, if you have the Helvetica font disabled, it will crash. Helvetica needs to be on the system.

Thanks, I went ahead and did what was probably a long overdue archive and install. Runs great now! Of course, I haven't actually tried to burn anything yet, but at least it launches! I think this will solve some other problems I've been having too. I just HATE resetting a machine when I have it how I want it!
Thanks
