Okay, friends!
Well, I also have the Toast crashing on startup problem on my 24" Intel iMac. I do have Helvetica on my system, although I am running Suitcase because I need it to do my work, so if there is a conflict there, I'm not entirely certain what I can do about it.
Does anyone have any other ideas for solutions? Maybe the dudes who wrote the program?

We're working on the Helvetica issue, but are you able to re-enable other fonts you've disabled with Suitcase to see if the issue is related?
